Bloodborne Pathogens

The University of Arkansas' Bloodborne Pathogen program is designed to meet the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA's) Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030.  If at anytime during the online training you have questions, call EH&S at 575-5448 and a staff member will be happy to assist you.

Online Bloodborne Pathogen training consists of a Power Point Presentation that will provide you with a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, how they are transmitted, methods of prevention, and other pertinent information.  A quiz is provided along with the power point presentation to test your mastery of the material.  To document and record the training, you will need to log in, using your university active directory id and password.  If you are logged in, when you complete the quiz you will be asked if you want to record the results.  A yes response will place your score in the quiz results database which you can access on line.  Bloodborne pathogen training needs to be repeated annually.
